On February 1, 2005 we lost a truly amazing
dog to a tragic accident. Tess's Chunk of Koal
was the daughter of Tess and Koal. She went
by the name Chunki. Like her mother, Chunki
loved to visit nursing homes and day cares. She
had been doing this since she was 7 weeks old.
We were in training to be a certified therapy
dog. Chunki also acted as a mother to other
puppies, even though she had not yet had a
litter of her own. She loved to swim with our
other dogs, and be with her Mommy. Chunki will
be greatly missed. There will never be another
pup like her. Miss you Sweet Pea.

Sunni was born on December 1,2002. He was our only male yellow
lab. Sunni was an excellent swimmer and retriever, and was
training for hunting. Sunni sired his first litter in 2004 and a second
litter in 2005. Sunni loved to swim, run, jump, and play. On
November 6, 2005 we rushed to the emergency vet to find that
Sunni was suffering from bloat. After a long evening in the vet's
office and numerous questions, we made the hard decision to let
Sunni go. We will miss him very, very much. We love you Sunni!

Redwing Tess Ferebee was the senior at Labz of
Sussex. She was born December 13, 1994. Tess spent
her retirement going to nursing homes and day cares.
She absolutely loved the people she visited. To the kids,
she is a big teddy bear, and to the older ones, she is a
friend who they can relate to. She had a tendency to
mother all of our puppies and other animals. Tess was
the mother of our youngest chocolate female, Chunki who
died in February of 2005.

Thumper Koal Ferebee- SN86479802 was born
on August 15, 2001. On June 28, 2006 we lost
our beloved Koal. He was our only black lab that
we have had since we started raising labradors.
He was definitely a people dog, and always
wanted to be with someone. Koal also hunted
ducks and geese. Koal loved to be able to
lounge around on cool floors, but was always up
for a ride. He loved swimming and retrieving at
the pond, and it got to the point that he had to go
to the pond without any other dogs. Any time
you threw something in the water, regardless of
which dog's turn it was, he tried to get in the
water. Let me tell you, a 115 pound muscle dog
trying to pull you into the water is not easy. Koal
threw some amazing puppies in both looks and
personality. We are hoping to one day, contact
some of the owners to get a puppy from his line.
We will miss this amazing dog greatly.
